Non-Public Transportation

Ankeny Community School District makes one payment to parents claiming non-public transportation following the end of the current school year for all claims made during the school year. Following Iowa Code, the state makes one payment on or around July 15 to the school district after the school year ends. The district then prepares payments to parents based on the amount from the state. Final payment to parents claiming non-public transportation occurs no later than August 31 for the preceding school year.

Public schools are required to provide transportation services to resident nonpublic students. This form will be used for the Parent Reimbursement.

The Ankeny Community School District (ACSD) will utilize the routing information system of the district’s transportation provider to resolve any differences or disputes of distance. We highly recommend that you use an online mapping system such as Mapquest or Google Maps to calculate the distance between the student’s address and the address of the nonpublic school. Please use the shortest calculated distance from the online mapping system for your mileage amount.
