5th Grade Sammie Featherstone

Hi! My name is Samantha Featherstone and I am one of the 5th grade teachers here at Heritage. This is my first year teaching in the Ankeny Community School District. I started out my teaching career in 3rd grade in Clarksville, TN. I taught there for four years, in 3rd grade and 5th grade, before we moved to Iowa. I taught 3rd grade in Waukee last year. I cannot wait to teach her in Ankeny and start this awesome year!

I received my BA in elementary education from Eastern Illinois University before I moved to Tennessee. When I am not teaching, I love being outdoors with my husband and daughter, spending time with family in Illinois, and horseback riding.
