Matthew Johnson

Hello, my name is Matt Johnson and I teach Economics and World History.  The 2022-2023 school year will be 22nd year in education and my first in Ankeny.  Prior to this year, I have taught in the Park Hill School District (Kansas City, MO), as well as the Centerville Community School District (southern Iowa). In addition to teaching social studies, I will also be an assistant wrestling coach.  I received my Bachelor’s Degree in Secondary Social Studies Education from the University of Central Missouri and I earned a Master’s Degree in Teaching from Webster University and a Master’s Degree in Educational Administration from Iowa State University.  I enjoy working out, being outside, and spending time with my wife and three children.
