Health Laura Reis

Welcome!

I am Mrs. Reis and I teach 6th and 7th grade health at Parkview.  I graduated from Iowa State University with a degree in Kinesiology in 2007 where I completed an internship in Cardiac and Pulmonary Rehabilitation.  I earned a Master’s degree in Education in 2012 and a Master’s degree in Health, Physical Education, and Recreation in 2016.  I have spent my entire teaching career in Ankeny schools.  I started out teaching at Ankeny High School in 2008 and transferred to Parkview in 2014.  I teach an adaptive physical education course for Grand View University in the fall in addition to teaching for Ankeny.  I live in Ankeny with my husband, Jon, and our three children:  Hunter, Kaia, and Elle.  We love spending time in nature hiking, fishing, and camping.  Our goal is to visit all of the National Parks!
