Instructional Coach Kari Conley

Hello, my name is Kari Conley.  I am a Special Education Instructional Coach.  I have taught in Ankeny since 2003.  I received my Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education with a minor in Special Education from the University of Northern Iowa in 2003.  I received my Masters in Effective Teaching through Drake University in 2015 then my reading and consulting endorsements in 2016.

I started my career in Ankeny at Southeast Elementary as a self-contained with integration teacher.  I then went to Crocker as a multi-categorical teacher when it opened in 2004.  I was transferred to Ashland Ridge Elementary in 2009 and became a district coach in 2020.

I went into the education field because I have always loved working with children and love to watch them grow.  Seeing students acquire new skills, meet personal goals and build self-confidence makes my job very rewarding.

Outside of school, I enjoy spending time with my family and friends, exercising, cooking, and reading.  My husband and I have lived in Ankeny since 2003.  We have three beautiful children who all go to Ankeny Schools.
